Make the www or apex name work over HTTPS on Netlify
Why it matters
The other spelling of the domain resolves in DNS but fails over HTTPS, so visitors who type it get an error. Either serve it with a valid certificate and redirect it to the main host, or remove its DNS record.
The fix
- Set the canonical name as the primary domain; Netlify redirects its www/apex counterpart automatically. Remove the other name if it is listed as a separate alias.
- Point the other name's DNS at Netlify as Domain management lists it. Netlify adds it to the certificate once its DNS is configured; renew the certificate under HTTPS if it does not.
