Fix the HTTP redirect chain on Cloudflare
Why it matters
Requests to http:// never reach a page, so visitors who type the bare domain or follow an old link get an error. One permanent redirect from http to the https address fixes it.
The fix
- Turn on Always Use HTTPS (SSL/TLS, Edge Certificates); it answers http requests at the edge before any other rule reaches the origin.
- Check Rules, Overview for Redirect Rules or Page Rules that match http:// URLs and point back to http, and remove or fix them.
