Redirect HTTPS straight to the other host's HTTPS page on WordPress
Why it matters
The HTTPS homepage of this host redirects visitors to the plain http page of its www or non-www twin, although the twin serves the site over https itself and visitors lose the encrypted connection on the way. Point the redirect at the twin's https address instead.
The fix
- In Settings, General, WordPress Address (URL) and Site Address (URL) must start with https:// and name the host you want as primary (www.example.com or example.com). If the fields are greyed out, change WP_HOME and WP_SITEURL in wp-config.php.
- Check SSL, redirect and www plugins and .htaccess rules for a redirect to http://, change it to https://, and clear any page cache.
The examples use example.com. Replace it with your own domain.
