Check the SPF terms that use macros

email.spf.macros · effort: minutes

Why it matters

Some SPF terms use macros whose result depends on the sender, so the scan counted them as lookups but could not follow them. Nothing is necessarily wrong, but the real lookup count may differ from what was measured.

The fix

  1. Macros (written like %{i} or %{d}) are valid and some providers use them on purpose. If you copied the record from your provider's setup page, leave it as it is.
  2. If you wrote a macro yourself and do not know why, replace it with a plain include or ip4/ip6 term.
