Consider adding an llms.txt file

hygiene.llms_txt.missing · effort: minutes

Why it matters

llms.txt is a proposed convention for a short Markdown file that points AI tools to your most useful pages. It is optional and no search engine promises to use it, so treat it as a low-cost extra rather than a ranking factor.

The fix

  1. Create a Markdown file named llms.txt in the site root, so it is served at https://example.com/llms.txt. Start with one H1 with the site name, then a blockquote summary, then sections with links to your key pages.
  2. Keep it short and current, and link only to pages you want AI tools to read. Skip it if it would be one more thing to maintain.
