Put URLs into the sitemap on WordPress
Why it matters
The sitemap is valid but lists no pages, so it gives search engines nothing to use. Usually the generator is set to exclude everything or finds no public content.
The fix
- Check that you have published posts or pages, and that your SEO plugin has not set every content type to be hidden from search results (look under its Search appearance or Titles and Meta settings). Also check that Settings, Reading, Discourage search engines from indexing this site is cleared, because ticking it turns the core sitemap off.
- Clear caches and reload the sitemap address.
