Add structured data to the homepage on Shopify
Why it matters
Structured data is a small block of code that tells search engines who is behind the site, for example the name of the organization and the site. It can improve how your name and logo appear in search results, but it does not change rankings by itself.
The fix
- Shopify themes normally print structured data for products and collections but not for the organization. Add the JSON-LD from the generic tab inside the head of theme.liquid (Online Store, Themes, Edit code), or use an SEO app that offers it. Keep your own copy of the theme first.
