Change the canonical link to https on Shopify
Why it matters
The homepage is served over https, but its canonical link names the http address. That tells search engines to index the insecure version and can send visitors there from search results.
The fix
- Shopify builds the canonical from the primary domain and uses https. Look for a hand-written canonical tag in theme.liquid (Online Store, Themes, Edit code) or one added by an app, and remove it so the theme's own canonical_url is used.
