Add a title to the homepage on Shopify

Why it matters

The title is the headline of your search result and the label of the browser tab, so a page without one looks unfinished and ranks worse. Search engines will make up a title if you do not write one.

The fix

1. Open Online Store, Preferences and write the Homepage title in the title and meta description section.
2. If the page still has no title, the theme's layout file is missing its title tag. Update the theme or ask its developer to restore it.
